Abstract
This article discusses how the construction of memory and forgetting, in particular through the writing of history, are actively used as a practice of militancy for many different political currents. The focus here is the study of the anarchist Edgar Rodrigues and his role as historian and libertarian activist during the military dictatorship in Brazil.
