PCdoB: The crossing of communism between orthodoxy and the revision
Keywords:
PCdoB, communism, orthodoxy, revision
Abstract
Until the early nineties, PCdoB was recognized for its dogmatism. His distinctive feature was Stalin's ardent defense. Therefore, a "Stalinist" organization would not survive the collapse of real socialism. They would be wiped off the political map or become an irrelevant institution in Brazilian society. Without major defections or the cataclysm of the PCB, the Central Committee conducted a controlled process of reassessment of some important assumptions. Connected to the mobilizations of the eighties, the association combined orthodoxy and revision of the socialist project, obtaining success in this reorganization, without, however, losing its original identity.
