Narratives on danger: the expropriation of the Sugar Mill Galileia and the Peasant Leagues (1959 - 1964)

Abstract

This article analyze as the Northeast and specifically Pernambuco, after the expropriate of Engenho Galiléia in February 60’s, became the center of the attentions of the social and national sectors that ones were afraid of a communist revolution appeared in that Brazilian’s region.
