Abstract

Using documents from the National and Regional Meetings of the Women of the PT, I seek to trace the history and organization of female militants within the Brazilian Workers Party, based upon discussions that were held over the issues they raised. When studying the political trajectory of these militants within the party, we perceived that the interventions and ideological presumptions elaborated by these women were essential for the cultural-political formation of the Party. In other words, the forging of the women’s identity in the PT, also stamped the feminist mark that characterizes the internal structure of the movement.
