African Peoples and Traditional Communities: Visgo to combat racism

Abstract

The People and Traditional Communities of African Matrix in Brazil were historically reduced only to their aspects related to the sacred. The fundamental proposal of the concept presented here and its application through the 1st National Plan of Sustainable Development of the People and Traditional Communities of African Matrix is ​​to overcome this reductionism. The article is a result of the systematization of the records produced in meetings, seminars, workshops and documents of various instances of social participation between the years 2011 to 2018 as a result of UNDP - UN consultation. In addition to racism, there was reverberation of the category and of this unprecedented instrument of public policies in the institutional strengthening of the subject population of rights in question for the dialogue with the State in all its federative instances.
