Abstract

This article discusses the oral history of life and the experience of women in the city of Osasco, which, during a 1968 strike, watched their siblings, friends and partners being persecuted, arrested and/or tortured by the Brazilian military regime. Apparently invisible in the political scene, these women reveal, through narratives, their political role on the edge between the public and private space, destructuring the dichotomy among the male and female functions in history.
